I need a wiring diagram that shows the wire hookup for the tach. I know that the tach has 3 wires, yellow, white & brown.BUT I need to follow them & see where the wires hook up.You can post it here or send it in an email,BUT maybe some other members would like to see it to.Thanks.

Thanks.Does the yellow hook up to the Mag side of switch? I'm trying to hook up tach to my Polaris wiring harness,it's completely different than Rupp.ALL the wires are in a plug down by the stator, then run through harness to the various places they need to go.By the time the wires get back to switch, there are 2 yellow wires & one red/white wire hooked to switch. There is nothing hooked to the MAG side of switch, completely different than how Rupp does things.Later. Dan

I have also struggled with wiring a tach. I have a Rupp tach with three wires coming out the back, a yellow, a yellow with red tracer and a black for the light. Do i hook the yellow and the yellow with red tracer to the two yellow wires coming from my lighting coil ? I am running a Sachs 290 ss motor. any help would be appreciated. I would love to know what this engine is turning There is only one way to run these sleds WIDE OPEN Chris

Only one yellow wire needs to be hooked up,from the stator.I've never seen a tach on a Sachs single. The way those engines shake,I don't think a tach would last long.
