Does anyone know what the seat foam thickness is for the 70-71 Sprints with back rest? I know I have been using the incorrect thickness in my seats. That's the problem when I bought sleds,at least 90% of them, didn't have seats! So,I guessed at what they should be. I guess, better late than never on the thickness!!! Have to get at least one seat correct.

I'd say 4 inches. At least that's what I make mine at and we have got a few sleds that had seats when we got them and I believe that's about what they were

I think I have a foam in my seat pile at home, that I can measure for you, Dan...4 inches sounds about right, though, as the '69 GT is 3 inches, and I know it is thinner than the Sprint...

I need the seat foam, for a 70 Sprint 29[approx 35" long, with the hump],not the foam with the fiberglass backrest. Send me an email at: im.rugerman@gmail.com. I'll probably be back here in another 3-4 months to check on you guys.Later. Thanks.

I had a seat made for a NT sled, without backrest.I used a 78 JD Spitfire foam,it was the right length & width. I had a pattern for the shape of hump etc,got it from yellowlab2.The pattern worked great. I know,"wheres the heated pleats"?? Sorry, not happening.Plenty good for a rider.

Well done, Dan, keep up the great work! Looking forward to the finished product! I haven't started on a Summer sled project yet...working on minibikes right now!
