Late last Winter, I spotted online a '70 Sprint 29 that came up for sale in Michigan. Now I had been looking for one of these for a long time, and this well-loved ice fishing sled was priced right. So I contacted the seller and worked out a deal, with the plan to drive down from Ontario to pick it up in the Spring. Well, one thing led to another, my passport needed to be renewed, and I just never seemed to be able to find the time to get there to pick it up. Thankfully, the seller was VERY patient...and then early this Fall everything lined up...a friend of mine, in Orillia, ON sold two sleds to a fellow from Michigan (who was going to drive up to Orillia to pick up the two sleds)...as it turned out, he lived not too far from my seller and, for a bit of help with his gas money, agreed to pick up and deliver my Rupp to Orillia. This past weekend, I was in Orillia for my daughter's hockey tournament...so the finally Rupp came home with me! I spent a few hours, on and off this week working on it: replaced the rear axle/sprockets/idlers, ran new fuel lines and filters, rebuilt the carb, and removed all of the ice fishing paraphernalia...tonight, I took it for it's maiden ride around the yard! This Summer it will get a more complete rebuild, but for the Winter I will enjoy it! Before... Tonight...

Nice sled!! I would have left it as a "fishing rig" tho'. Now you have a 70 Sprint like everyone else has.
