Anyone help me out here? 3 wire coming out of tach on a 75 F/A Nitro, sled doesn't use a circuit board, instead has a terminal strip to get voltage reg., tether, etc. into circuits. So I guess what I'm asking, which wires out of a yellow, a white, and a black, should be hooked where as far as ground, hot (ahead of reg., behind?)

The color of wires sounds right, but I don't think the tach on the right is 73,74 maybe. The case on the 73 was steel with chrome bezel.I believe,74 & up had black painted bezel.

Hoots, did you get it working. Don't mean to hijack your thread. I need a tach for my 75 snow twister with 340 Kohler F/A, if this is a Kohler tack I should be able to test it on the twister? Attachment Deleted

No, just called previous owner and he said tach is fryed. Anyone have one laying around they want to get rid of? Also does anyone know how many pulse the F/A tach is so I can program my race tach for use on it? I was thinking the tach had the yellow, white, and brown wires sticking out of the main body and also has the hole for sticking the seperate light bulb socket/harness into it, just like 76's. Have to look at it again.

Did everything work out with that terminal strip wiring? I (for one) would like to see that?
