We are not ready to throw the towel in yet there are still Yamahas to be beat. I am ok with our RS it is the 2AS I have questions on. Did the solder squash test and on our 340 I got 0.075 thousands and the 440 was 0.045 thousands what is a good number to shave these heads down to? What do they do on the Mercs? First race is 3 months away!!

.045 is a really good number for drag racing. .052 for ovals. You might want to use a higher octane gas too.

Having heads shaved down to get the squish tight is alright. But you should really get them redomed also.
