Depending on the width it could also be for a 73 Nitro.

Sorry, I didn't see the adjusters on the suspension springs. The American didn't have those at least the ones I have haven't. Also the American has a 9" center to center. So that would be a 73 nitro (sometimes a sport).

So in 74 Rupp went to front mounted engines and internal drive track like Nitro II , no mid mount engines in 74? This suspension is for 73 nitro(and some sports) nothing 74 and nothing 72? They do look cool with the rear sprockets inboard- you see the slide rail and the track loop around the rear with no exposed wheel!

In 72 the slide rails were steel. In 74 they did the American mid mout engine but it was actually left over from 73. It had additional decals added to look different and called it a 74.
