I found this in a dealer handbook from the spring of 1971... makes you wonder what they had on the drawing board?

Are there any other bulletins or letters you could post from this handbook? I have not seen this handbook before. The 650 tohatsu did hit the track in 71, Mr Bloom at its controls. He said it was an awesome power plant just didn't have the clutching it needed to finish.

Nothing else on the 650 but does have some information on the "regional" race program in Minnesota and Wisconsin. This was from the spring dealer show in May of '71 put on by Burkhardt-Larsen, the local distributors.

that is a very neat Bulletin. to bad they didn't even produce those. i have the original prototype drawings of the '72 magnums okay'ed by Micky Rupp.. says there was supposed to be 295,340,440,and 650.the drawing's are drawn by joe walsh, who i got the drawings from, he was the designer at the time for the rupp sleds.

Maybe the 71 crank problems talked about in another thread put an end to the magnum line up for 72. A blessing really, I can't afford anymore magnums lol.
