New barn find

Any one know anything about these or have paper work on these? The guy I got these from said they used to buy these from Rupp in the crate for $75.00 and sell them for $150.00. He said these are '73's and these are the original parts they came with. One is a '71 wide track with '73 magnum lower panels and 293 sachs single. The other is a '71 narrow track with '71 magnum hood and seat, '73 magnum lower panels and a '71 340s motor. These also have been seen with the 3 piece hoods.

Thanx for the info! That's what I thought. With the new body style coming in 74 it would make sense to piece what ever together and get rid of it. Can't post many more pic's right now, had to leave these up at the lake. Need the room for guests, my oldest daughter is moving to N.C. and we are having a party for her. The one on the right actually is mostly 71 magnum parts that I can see. The lowers, spindles and leaf springs are the only 73 parts I noticed. As far as selling these. My boy and I bought them together and he isn't at home right now to talk about it. But as you know, anything is for sale for the right price and we haven't became attached to these as of yet. They both turn over but the 293 has no spark.

Nice find! I wished I could find more Rupp stuff around here, just farm implement stuff, mostly like John Deere and Roll-N-Fix's is all I seem to stumble across latley ;D

Many many years ago when I was trying to fix up my beater Yankee, there was a place around here that had lots of old rupps 71 on down. At the time I had no use or even interest in them but, about 8 years ago a friend needed some parts for his and so off we went. It was gone. They had to get rid of the junk as part of a new Minnesota law. Something about hazardous materials. Alot of junkyards are now gone unless they spent the money to remove the oil and crap from the soil and put up buildings with floors. I use to be able to go to 10 salvage yards by foot. Now its 20 minutes between them by car. Some cities still allow one if certain rules are met without upgrading but not many. This has also happened with snowmobile, motor cycle and lawn tractor salvage as well. So now if I find an old salvage yard I at least make it a point to look. You never know.
