I have have been gathering up parts and pieces after picking up a nos g25a 250cc single engine from a friend, I picked up all the top end parts to convert it over to a 250cc liquid for my chaparral grass racer, so far it has a blast to building, I didn't relive they were rated at 80hp at 8300 so with a little work I don't think it would be far off from the 292 yami mods, I ended up using a ssx liq. Ignition system

Sorry it took a couple days to get back to you, been riding a few of the sleds before the snow melted, I am using the stock bore 77-78 top eng, I figured that I would assemble the engine with a little head work, a 40mm flat slide, boysen reeds and a mod pipe and see how it performs before getting the cylinder ported or over bored, I'd like to keep it under 300cc for the 300cc mod class here are a couple more pictures from this weekend

X3, keep us posted please. Same idea I've had and very interested in results. In my drag racing group, few of the guys have taken liquid 440 Doo's and made singles, punched them out to 300cc, and racing open mod. Very fast, and of coarse they're sticking them in the lightest tunnels possible, Scorpion. But Xenoah's make alot of power and have been thinking like you. Go get em!

I would think the twin ignition should work just fine wouldn't it? Just one plug wire would be going no where.
