If I am right on this, the 1976 Magnum was mine. The good: Super fast and great runner. The bad, poorly welded tunnel where suspension mounts and the white stripe hides prior silver paint, which would be kind of a mess to clean up. And no, the skis are NOT correct, but look somewhat close. His asking price is considerably higher than what he paid (minus shipping costs) so if he is willing to deal a little, I would recommend buying it. If you want more info on the sled, assuming it was mine, email me for my phone number and I will give you my take of the sled.

The F/A has more then just the handle bars that will make this sled not original. The skis are wrong so are the shocks. it has been repainted and is missing the black stripe that goes around the middle of the hood. looks like the air box is missing. It is missing the tether switch. Just these parts alone you are looking at 500 to 600 bucks worth of parts it needs. (if you can find them)

The skis on the 76 Look like early reproductions for a 77 Blizzard. That was one of the first extrusions out when guys started making repop skis. Otherwise, that baby looks good.
That F/A, all original? Glass looks reproduction, that shoots all original right in the arse! Plus all the stuff snosnake mentioned. That does look like a nice seat on it though...a little too nice~
They honestly don't look like bad sleds to get...depends on what you want to pay and how correct you'd like them to be.

Thanks for the advice and tips you guys, I appreciate it very much. This is certainly the right place to go to get help.
The '75, I do believe the seat is totally original, it looks old, has a couple of small nicks in the vinyl that shows use and it has the original 'R' embossed snaps. The air box is there, along with the air intakes in the belly. I wondered about the glass, but I'm not an expert in that area and I don't doubt it was replaced at some point. I figured the skis were not original, they are chromed aluminum.
The '76 is a pretty sled, I am very leery about the suspension repair (oldrupps, you are correct) and the overall look of the sled. I think I would just rather wait for an original survivor and pay a little more for it knowing I have an original sled. Resto work for me is fun, so I am not necessarily looking for a finished sled.
I really just want to find an excellent original sled, mainly looking for a '76 440 Magnum. I have bought a decent 250 Magnum to restore, just want the 440 to top it all off. I love those liquids. Wig

If I had the money I'd take the F/A off of your hands. Or his hands. OK...who took my money tree??
