Hi all! Im lookong to build a 340. I have the 2as that is in great shape but missing everything electronic wise. I currently have a 34 sprint(complete sled) and a pulled tr440 available for parts. Is this feasible/possible to build?
Ought to be a nice busy summer also starting full restoration on a 69 gt300 sno sport. Just got it running she is pretty happy with the sachs!

dustin the 340 2as would be a kohler motor so you will have to source prestolite components for that motor.Hewtech carries both the rewound coils and their own built cdi units for these motors.Both 340&440 2as engines were used in the 74,75 nitros and the 440 2as was used in the 76 ralleye as well as other brands of sleds that may have used the kohler as engines those years.The tr440 would be a tohatsu.Completely different engine and I believe just points motors.

The 73 and newer Tohatsu motors were CDI

I have all of the parts for the AS prestolite ignition and I have some parts for the 69 GT 300 sleds.
