whats the settings on the tilotsons for my 73 Mag 440. how many turns on the low & high speed. thanks mike

Your best bet would be to find someone with a carburetor syncronizer, to adjust the idle mixture and idle speed. The hi speed you can use the same tool. Just watch your plugs, for too rich or lean conditions. There is no settings for the carbs, because no two engines are alike.

In one of my High Performance Bulletins it recommends: Low Speed- 1-3/4 turns out High Speed- 1-3/16 turns out Hope this gives you a good place to start.

Nevermind the last post. The bulletin states that it was running a 12:1 mixture. So you really can't go by these settings. That would be funny to try a 12:1 mixture with todays oils. It would look like the Exxon Valdeez all over the garage floor !!!!!!
