im new to Rupp’s and just purchased this sled. Can someone tell me the model? Is it just called a 440WT? Also, I think the motor is a Tohatsu? Is this a good motor, and is it common? Any info is appreciated.

It's called a 1971 440WT. The Tohatsu engine is a very good one, very common, easy to find parts for.You will like it.They came with a dual drive track,17 1/2"X 121" track.Only downfall, dual drive tracks are getting really tough to find.Someone has taken the rear backrest off & made the seat longer. They are a fun sled.Have fun with it. This is what they should look like. The track was bad in mine,I converted it to a "center" drive track, NOS!!

Thanks for the info. Yes, the track is not the greatest on mine either. I’m on the hunt for a good one and am also finding it difficult to find one in better shape than what I have. I’ll run it at vintage shows for now and hold off on the vintage rides until I can find a good track.

Rupp tracks are tough!! You can run the "iffy" tracks for quite awhile. If they aren't torn/ripped & only cracked, they will run a long time. I ran an iffy track on my Sprint 29 for about 4 winters, before it gave out.
