Hi guys, I’ve owned a 76 Nitro 440 for a few years now and am trying to gather some information before I dig into it. My dad has a 76 340, from some research I have done it sounds to be the 340 isn’t much lesser than the 440 since all of the components where tuned for the 340 but also used on the 440. Soo I am trying to figure out what is a good set up to get a bit more out of my 440, carbs, pipes, porting? The sled will be mainly drive around the house and hopefully take it to a few local radar runs! Thanks for any info! Tyler

The 440 has a lot more than the 340. The 340 might stay with the 440 for a while but a well tuned 440 will out run the 340. Arctic cat 440 pipes work pretty well on the 440. But it can be tough to find the good pipes from Arctic Cats.
