First off thank you for this message board and all of your help as I'm new here so I hope I can get some help with my project...I bought this 1970 sprint 34 with a ccw 340...could not figure out the spark issue..bought a Tr340 from a 72 running on both cyl at the time with a splash of gas...over the summer it sat till I could get to it...now I has spark in one cyl...so I changed the blue wire to the black that feed the coils and the spark changed cyl...showing the coils were good...so I cleaned the points with out removing the flywheel.a nail polish file....easy just a little scuff...now I have no spark....testing things with the motor unplugged ( can I do this or does it need a ground?) next I pulled the fly wheel and cleaned the stators...and flywheel everything is clean and should work put it back together but still no spark.. am I missing something ..and how do I test the condensers. what should they read...points are free...springs were missing on the cam but I found some from a universal spring pack that should work..no signs of the old ones there...really I want this thing to run as it is the same model my mom use to have when I was a kid and it was off limits to us kids ...she is testing me from up above I guess....thanks

I sometimes have to file points a lot !! They can be really fussy. You're best bet would be to probably put new ones on it.
