Getting ready to go through a nice ‘75 Nitro (Fan) with 171 original miles. Starting with replacing the original CDI box, then rebuilding or replacing the carbs. Thinking it may need new idlers/drivers too. Looking for your favorite replacement parts, suppliers, etc. Thank you!

Don't know if have started but here goes.If you want a trouble free ignition get a Hewtech Cdi.If you want rear idlers get them relined by Rick Weaver. He is now making the drivers for the 74-78 Nitros. I would take a good look over yours first. The originals are actually quite good if not cracked.I've got originals on my 74&77 Nitros still.Rick may also still have red slides as well.
Use an ultrasonic cleaner on your carbs- clean clean clean. Check the main and pilot jets and replace if neccessary.You can get kits to replace the gaskets and needles\seat for your VM carbs.
