The windshield is Plexiglas and I would like to change the look of it. Has any one sprayed one b-4 ? What type of spray paint should i use ? It has to many scuffs in it and needs to be painted or replaced. I would rather not replace it. I started with 1000 grit on the back side so the paint will adhere. Should i move to 1500 grit next ? Thanks, Dave. Just was thinking, what about some kind of mirrored contact paper. this way i could skin both sides. and add a trim edge across the top. Is something like this available The windshield is only 5" tall.

dave I painted the one on my 73 nitro black and it turned out nice. I used a bumper paint that was for rubber bumpers.

Well, the Krylon Fusion paint worked nice. If i let it dry for the next 24 hours, can i finish it off with a clear enamel ?
Now on 2 the next question. The bumper paint gave me an idea. can i use this to spray paint the raised lettering on my snow flap and will it hold up? Brandt shows some snow flaps on his site that are painted white. They look nice. When i called him he was out of the white lettered ones. Dave.

I painted the "Alouette" white letters on my Snow Flap....so it should work...
i didnt spary them though, i took a pice of fine weave blue shop towel (stuff that comes on a roll), wrapped it around a 4" piece of 2x4, sprayed the Shop towel with white paint, then Dabbed it on the raised lettering.
no taping, no runs, no problem...

Dave i have painted many windshields before to match a sled, find acolor you like and get it in a flat, and paint the inside of the windshield this will make it look like a gloss paint job but dont go balls out with it start with a light coat like freckels let it dry then start putting it on a little thicker.I have had real good luck with this method, just make sure you use a FLAT PAINT,the gloss will run on the plastic and your windshield will be shot.Just my 2 cents worth, ive seen some bad jobs from friends and learnd from their mistakes. I appreciate your 2 cents Dennis, only i painted it already. I had to paint both sides. The outside face had multiple scratches. How ever, I did use a flat Black. It turned out nice. It still needs something. I was Thinking about a nice 440 decal or if i cant find what im looking for I will have it air brushed. Feel free to throw your opinions out there. This is how some of the best and most creative ideas happen. Dave.
