The front view is 70 Mag for sure. Not sure what's going on with the back, the center area should be trimed up higher with an inverted v shaped notch in the center for the handle bars. Old repop? Joe

Could be an old re-pop.NO labels on it.Is it worth buying? It is not red gel coat, looks like redish brown primer, unless it sat outside for years.Really DEEP stress cracks.. Joe,do you have a picture of the back of a REAL 70 Magnum hood, with V? Thanks.

You could have "put it on" E-bay and one of them hoarders I've been reading about could quietly stash it away......

Amazing what the Google images tab will show you (just for fun Google your own name using the image tab). I'd like to hoard, but I have too many interests, so I'd go broke trying.

As rough as this hood is,I plan to use it on one of my builds.Really, its no worse than the other hood I plan to use. There is just something about a hood with big air openings in them.

Sorry Dan, I've been out of town and away from a computer for a week or so. I have a couple 70 mags in the barn, if I have time today I will get a hood out and take a couple pics for you. Joe

Here ya go Dan. Where it starts curving up is 9 1/2" apart. It's 1/2" from top of hood to top of notch. Joe

Here's how they look on a sled. First is a narrow track 400 that was done stock how they looked back in the day. Next is a 634 that was redone how I got it, race ready. Joe

Your welcome, and thanks. I also have a 440 that I finished last spring that we believe was a Winnipeg/St. paul racer or at least some sort of cross country racing. Was set up for dual tanks and a lot of things were done to lighten it up. Couldn't find any pics of it on this friggin puter. It will be going up for sale shortly. Gotta resupply the sled fund. Besides with getting the 800Mag and the twin track done I will need the room. Joe
