I guess if you want to keep the angle stock on the comet then what you say is true but if want to change the angle you are also going to change the weight of the arm. with the thunder shift arms you can do what you said but you still have to keep the stock profile. And if I remember right the instructions on the thunder weights said to used them as a tuning device and not to run them permanent.
Now with the hex the ramps and fly weights are separate so you can grind all you want on the ramps and not change the weight of the fly weights.

I got a question about cheating. If you take three right 73sr 440 cylinders and cut the fins off the side of them to make them look like triple clinders and fit a triple case, should you really call it a 660? and shouldn't you also say the engine is a 72 bottom end with 73 hacked up cylinders? Or do you just tell everyone it is a 72 650? Because we all knoe the 73 440 cylinders and much more potent then a true 72 650 cylinder! Just wondering. I have some extra right cylinders and a case that is just begging for some attention.

I'd like to build a triple with the 73 SR jugs and do some tricks to it to see how many ponies she can really make.....
And it's not cheating if you run it in the 800 open...in the 650 it would depend on on the over bore rules for the class. Want to really cheat, stroke it and keep stock bore. When they check it with the bore scissors they'll shove it on through never knowing it was stroked right out to the max!!!

bankruppt is exactly correct. in each class in oval mod racing there is a .060 over bore rule also. the w/c race is a 800 class so you can run anything up to a 800 plus the .060 over bore rule. so i dont think it would be considered cheating. i dont know about drag racing and what rules they have though. b.s.
