Not to nit-pic, but all the info I have describes the '75 F/A track as 118".

3.29 pitch, 36 pitches...118.44" I suppose you could call it what you wanted, but it's commonly referred to as a 118" track. If you call it 119", we're still talking about the same length track.

Inov was an aftermarket snowmobile parts manufacturer whom I believe was swallowed up by Kimpex, both stationed out of Quebec I believe.Kimpex is showing 3 tracks with 3.29 pitch, 15"wide,P/N 04-543 35 pitch,P/N 04/544S 35 pitch,P/N 04/961 31 pitch. There is no spec. on window widths or width spacing or drive lug spacing so slider and drive, idler widths may need to be modified. This information is from my Royal Distributing catalog.

Is it possible some Scorpion tracks might work for the F/A's?? 2/3rd cleats but should be able to get them Rupps back on the snow ;D 1976-'79 Range Whip (with Paraslide) 1977-'79 TK and TKX (with Paraslide) 1978 Sting 440 w/Paraslide susp. they are 3.29" pitch w/36 cleats (Pitch qty) and 16" wide. Scorpion's specs is 3.29" X 36= 118.44"-same as the F/A Not sure if it would work but worth looking into, I see them available now from Kimpex-just a thought.

Here are 2 INNOV track numbers I have: 1.)281-003-020,PC-124,dated 1977. Fits Rupp/Magnum & 72-73 Nitro.Replacement for Rupp#18989. Dual drive track,60 windows & 2" pitch. 2.)281-003-015,PC-99,dated 1977.Fits 72 & back. Replacement for Rupp#15902. Center drive track,60 windows & 2" pitch. Everything should be written down somewhere by someone,whether it's tracks or anything else.

I measure tracks by the pitch & number of drive lugs or bars. I really don't care what the total length numbers are, only the pitch & number of lugs or bars. The length is what it is. All the Rupp tracks I use have 60 windows,2" pitch=120" track. I really don't care about the 120 or 121 as we sometimes call them.

I think when it comes right down to it,you can use just about any track,as long as the width is close to 15-15 1/2" in width and length close to 121" or less. The trick are the front & rear drivers, front would have to be bored out to fit 1 1/4" shaft, back for 1". The tracks I would use, would be Polaris,Ski-Doo(sprocket) & John Deere(involute/lug). I might have to purchase more Rupp tunnels for the purpose of experimenting with these tracks. I'm talking 1973 & back.

Magnum should be the same as the Nitro,Rupp # 18989,dual drive,60 drive windows. Both the Nitro & Magnum, narrow track, had slide suspension, the ones I've seen. If they made a wide track, should be a Rupp #19724. I could be wrong,but............................

Stretch..Wonderful work. I am just finishing a ground up restoration of a 1970 RUPP 34. I believe most everything on this machine was original but of course no one can be sure. The old track which I have removed and discarded was marked as follows:
RUPP Mfg. Inc. 14800 901255 2" 60 X 15.5
In addition, the month of SP and 69 inclosed within what looked to be a sunburst, (I took this to mean Sep 1969) was also molded into the track. I replaced the old track with a NOS INNOV track I found in Canada. Both the old and new tracks had 60 windows and 2" pitch. I don't know if this info is of any value to you.
I also have a question. In your charts for 1970 Rupps, what is the difference between the 2 entries for 340 Rupps? Thanks, Jim

Since the Message Board was updated I haven't been able to find the track "charts". Are they somewhere else and / or can they be reposted?
Thanks,
