thanks dave and to all i know some new parts dont all fit some times i took two days off to do some new sled riding went to the up of MI we have fun now i have to work on the sled to get it ready for the last show of the year will put the motor in soon need to clean it lots of little thinks -fan

Iam trying to get my motor working in mine running a 400 merc motor have 440 but need cyl also let me know if and where you find them yours is looking good

I got the pleasure to meet your Raider buddy tonight. He stopped at the shop to pick up some gaskets. He told me about your predicament. I find it hard to believe that you hood is too narrow. When you rivoted your nosecone to the side panels did you have to push the panel in You might need to revamp the way you fastened your panels. My dad's F/A you need to squeeze the hood together to get it to sit inside the bumpers. Also when these sleds are riden the hood likes to pop out of the bumpers. These weren't the best designed Rupps. You might also need to add a couple washers to that back spacer. I can't see how a F/A hood could get too wide. Theres so much strength in the hood the way it wraps around where the motor sticks through.
