Do you have the original 71 WT suspension? The susp pictured is 72 and later. You mention aluminum ski's. Are they the 71-72 over the counter option from Rupp or are they 73 Magnum ski's? The ski's pictured appear to be steel.

I kind of wondered that about the skis also.

I'll take the bumpers and seat cover if you're parting it out.

Do you have the correct 71 clutch cover? I assume from your post that the motor in the sled is a 73.Is the 71 motor a 440S or a 440TR?

Is the exhaust a 71 (springs) or a 72 (clamps)?

I have a 71 WT fan Magnum with correct suspension and a WT Rover with aluminum bumpers and 72 slide suspension.Total cost of less than $1000 from eBay for both. I saw your listing on vintagesleds.com asking $6500 for your sled. Now $3500 and no takers.Maybe this info will help you set a fair price.

You bought a correct '71 Wt Fan Magnum for less than $1,000? Wanna sell it??

Yeh I would take the Rover if you want to sell it?? I don,t think it's unreasonable to want 3500.00 for the Magnum with all the parts that go with it. Only worth what somebody's willing to pay for it.

I saw that too! If Magnesium bought two, then he only paid $500 for the Magnum?. So I'll give you $400 for the Magnum, Because you have the wrong motor, and it must be junk or you would post a pic of this great sled! No wonder the seller was happy to see it go, laughing all the way to the bank! All you got was a parts sled. I could use the parts for what I'm missing, in your own words that would be a fair deal"(for me)" not so much for you!

As most of us know, that when you do a restoration, you will almost never get out of it, what you put into it, financially that is. Most of us don't do this to make a profit at it. That's just the way it is.

I paid $700 for the fan Magnum,it had a TR440 motor.$200 for the Rover. Neither are for sale. My point was that because I bought them on eBay, I paid more than anyone else was willing to pay. Neither seller cried when I picked them up.

I have a '71 440 magnum and I am in NY. Great deal magnesium but not complete with an incorrect engine. Still a good buy though.

Also ebay is tough to base a price those sleds may have been to far for some people to go and get or when you add shipping it sometimes makes it to much. Location is everything.
